For a farewell and possible re-engagement.
By default these emails contain code to initiate a Resubscribe Flow.
| Name: | Subscription cancelled goodbye |
|---|---|
| Subject: | Sorry to see you go |
| Body: | Just a confirmation that your regular donation of X per Y has been cancelled… |
The Resubscribe Flow asks leaving donors to consider continuing their support at a lower rate tailored to them.
When they receive the email, they’ll be given a range of amount buttons that will take them to complete a new subscription in one-click, with their customer details already entered at the checkout.
The template includes a range of percentage buttons like this:

When the Resubscribe Flow is initiated, the amount on each button is calculated based on what the donor was previously giving.
This ensures wavering donors are given options within their means, to make continued giving easy and boost re-engagement!
You can edit the amounts simply by changing the percentages on the buttons in the template.
E.g. click the 50% button in the editor and use your keyboard to change it to 40% - it’s as simple as that!

Quick example:
A donor has just cancelled their £5 monthly subscription.
Their buttons will show:
| 75% of £5 | ⇒ £3.75 |
|---|---|
| 50% of £5 | ⇒ £2.50 |
| 25% of £5 | ⇒ £1.25 |
| 10% of £5 rounded up to the minimum possible of £1 | ⇒ £1 |

If you read the above example, you’ll have seen the last amount was rounded up to make sure the final figure was not below the minimum amount of £1.
The Resubscribe Flow uses the following rules to keep amounts looking smart:
| Rule | Example | Result |
|---|---|---|
| An amount less than the minimum of £1 will be rounded up to £1 | A donor just cancelled their £5 monthly subscription and the button says 10%. | |
| 10% of £5 is 50p which is less than the minimum. | Amount is changed to £1 | |
| Amounts are rounded to the nearest 5 cents or pence to keep them looking neat | A donor just cancelled their £3.50 monthly subscription and the button says 75%. | |
| 75% of £3.50 is £2.63 which looks odd. | Amount is changed to £2.65 | |
| Duplicate amounts are removed | A donor just cancelled their £2.50 monthly subscription and buttons say 25% and 10%. | |
| 25% of £2.50 is 63p and 10% of £2.50 is 10p. These are both below the minimum so both would be rounded up to £1. | Second identical amount button is removed. |
